From left to right connect the cables as follows in the bottom of the optidrive: earth, black, grey, brown
Connecting the optidrive with the robot
Get a cable with two wires
Connect one wire from 0V (the robot) to IO 1 (Optidrive)
Connect the other wire from DO (the robot) to IO 2 (Optridrive)
Connect the optidrive to three fase power
Ask people in the workshop if they can help you make a cable, if you don’t know how. From left to right connect the cables as follows in the top of the optidrive: earth, black, grey, brown.
Fill in specifications in Optidrive
Press and hold the hexagon shaped button.
The screen should display P1.
Press the hexagon shaped button again to change this parameter.
Press the up or down arrow buttons to go to another parameter.
Some parameters are based on preference and you should fill them in depending on how you are going to use the conveyor belt. Read the user manual, page 17 Invertek Optidrive E2 Manual (v3.3)
P7 should be set to the rated (nameplate) voltage of the motor (Volts)
P8 should be set to the rated (nameplate) current of the motor
P9 should be set to the rated (nameplate) frequency of the motor.
P12 should be set to 0 if you want to turn it on with the IO of your robot.
